(Syracuse, NY) Do you want to be a science millionaire? Participate in SAGE09: Sustainability and Green Entrepreneurship on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, One Conservation Place from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
The SAGE09 Seminar will expose high school students and faculty to people and ideas that demonstrate the green entrepreneurial spirit. Participants will become better versed in the science of environmental challenges, entrepreneurial thinking, and the role they can play in meeting these challenges. Environmental innovation is not only a social consciousness issue but an economic one. New advances and innovations can lead to new jobs and businesses.
Join us for a day where science geeks, policy wonks, creative thinkers, risk takers and business-minded students and teachers will learn about opportunities and ventures in profit and non-profit contexts with the goal of developing a business idea that they can then enter in the MDACNY Business Idea Competition that has a $5,000 student prize and $1,000 teacher/school prize.
Pre-registration is required.
Visit www.esf.edu/outreach/sage/ for more information and program specifics.
The event is free.
