Area Students Enroll at Colby College

WATERVILLE, ME (10/27/2009)(readMedia)– Area students enrolled at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, this fall. Before classes began, each student took part in an orientation that included an introducion to Colby’s rigorous academics, rich cultural life, and community involvement opportunities as well as a three-day outdoor excursion.

Sean Tooker Padungtin of Chittenango, is a graduate of Fayetteville Manlius High School. Padungtin is the son of Deborah Tooker of Chittenango, N.Y. and Yotin Padungtin of Utica, N.Y.

Garth P. Franklin of Worcester, is a graduate of Bancroft School. Franklin is the son of Patricia Franklin of Worcester, Mass. and Mark Franklin of Manlius, N.Y.

Colby’s Class of 2013 was selected from a pool more than ten times its size of 480. The students are residents of 36 states and citizens of more than 30 countries. Since they will graduate in the 200th year since the college’s founding in 1813, first-year students are being hailed as members of Colby’s bicentennial class.
