Lights on the Lake Flag Display Lit Up to Celebrate July 4th

(Liverpool, NY) Folks driving the Onondaga Lake Parkway in Liverpool will get a special holiday treat as they pass the entrance of Onondaga Lake Park over the next week. In honor of America’s birthday celebration, Onondaga County Parks will illuminate the massive 12ft x 22ft Lights on the Lake flag nightly from 8pm – 2am through Tuesday, July 6. This marks the first time the impressive display has made an appearance outside of the traditional Lights on the Lake time frame.

All of Onondaga County Parks is gearing up for a banner holiday weekend. Whether it’s the sandy beaches and beautiful waters at Jamesville Beach and Oneida Shores or the cool, tree covered trails at Beaver Lake, Highland Forest and Pratt’s Falls, County Parks offers a multitude of opportunities to celebrate and recreate. In addition, boat rentals are available at a variety of parks and the Wegmans Landing area of Onondaga Lake Park is in full swing featuring bike rentals, the skatepark, playground and the signature Wegmans Tram.
