The outing will introduce the birch, beech and other trees that are native to the area. Participants will discover many unique species and some simple ways to identify them in addition to learning about the historical and modern uses of each tree.
The price of the program is $5 per person. Advance registration is suggested. Beaver Lake Nature Center, an Onondaga County Park, is located at 8477 East Mud Lake Road, 3 miles west of Baldwinsville off of Route 370.
