Every Sunday through August 29, Onondaga Lake Parkway in Liverpool will be closed to motorized traffic from 9 a.m. until 12 noon so inline skaters, joggers, walkers and bicyclists can enjoy this wide, two-mile section of paved roadway. It’s the perfect opportunity for families and friends to gather for a stroll or a roll along a scenic section of historic Onondaga Lake Park normally filled with fast-moving traffic.

It’s also a great way to participate in Get Moving CNY! This free, summer-long program encourages people of all ages and abilities to get at least 30 minutes of physical activity for 30 days, tracking their activity on a calendar to earn Wegmans produce coupons, YMCA gift certificates and a t-shirt. MVP Health Care Parkway Sundays is presented by Time Warner Cable. To access the series, take Lake Drive or Willow Street in Liverpool to the Salt Museum/Wegmans Landing parking area.
