Support Sought for

To the Editor:

(Feb. 2011) My name is Brooke. I am 9 years old and a Girl Scout in Troop 671. My sister is five years old and her name is Amber. We are writing to ask you if you will help us with a special program my troop is working on. It’s called Operation: Cookie.

There are many men and women who have left their families to protect our country. I think that they would love to have a treat from home. My troop and I are working to collect donations of boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to send overseas to the troops. We will include a letter thanking them for all they do and some other goodies that we are collecting.

Would your business/organization please donate some boxes for our soldiers who protect us every day?

You may choose to donate as many boxes or cases as you’d like. All donations are tax deductible. 1 case=$42, 2 cases=$84, 3 cases=$126, 5 cases=$210. Gold Sponsor – 10 cases=$420, Platinum Sponsor – 15 cases=$630.

My troop leader has a form that you can complete and mail back to her with information about the number of boxes of cookies that you would like to donate. I can send that to you if you are interested.

If you would like to help with the program or have questions you can contact my Troop Leader. Her name is Krissi Newtown. Her phone number is 868-5428. You can also email her back at girlscouttroop671@yahoo.com.

Because I am only 9 I can’t give you my phone number but if you call my leader she can have me call you back and answer your questions.

Troop 671 Leader Krissi Newtown resides at 16 Hess Ave., Ilion, NY 13357.

Thank you for your support

Brooke
