(Watertown, NY - June 27, 2011) The State Police in Watertown is requesting the public’s help with investigating a Burglary that occurred on the Cheever Road, one mile northwest of the Old Town Springs Road in the town of Lyme.

The burglary occurred between June 23 at 8:30 a.m. and June 24 at 11:30 a.m.

Taken in the burglary were the following furniture and household items:

Dark brown leather sectional sofa, dark brown leather storage ottoman, black and oak dinette with four chairs, green wingback chair, wooden sofa table, 2 – 8″x12″ resin pineapples, oak night stand, three glass and brass candle holders, floor lamp, green table lamp, ceramic dog figurine, Chinese horse figurine, black woven basket/box, flower picture w gold colored frame, mirror with wooden frame, and a stained glass table lamp.

Estimated value is $6.000

The State Police in Watertown are investigating a burglary of weapons from a residence located at 7948 State Route 12E in the Town of Lyme, Jefferson County.

Taken in the burglary was a Mossberg 12 gauge Model 500 pump action shotgun with an unknown make and model scope. A CVA .50 caliber muzzleloader with black synthetic stock, and a Simmons 3X9X40 scope. A Winchester lever action 30.30 caliber rifle with peep sight, and a Fred Bear compound bow cammo in color. Also taken was approximately $230 in US currency. The burglary occurred between 5-00 PM 10-01-09 and 9-45 AM 10-02-09.

Twenty three locations in Jefferson County were checked during the detail. Two people were arrested for Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st, and Prohibited Sale of Alcohol to a Minor.

The following people were arrested after selling Alcohol to an underage operative during the initiative :

Mohan Singh Chhokar – 11/11/40, 1227 Falchney Dr, Apt #6, Watertown NY, Working at the Mobil Food Mart, 262 Arsenal St., Watertown NY. Chhokar was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Watertown Court on 06/29/09.

The following establishments were checked and did not sell alcohol to the underage operative :

Tamara C. Fitzpatrick – 11/08/89, 24738 Madison St., Chaumont NY, working at the Nice and Easy, 12345 SR 12, Chaumont NY. Fitzpatrick was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Lyme Court on 06/29/09.
